I hope you were able to attend the opening concerts of the CSO last weekend, which welcomed Cristian Măcelaru as the orchestra’s 14th music director. Today, the May Festival announced that Măcelaru will also conduct the opening weekend of the Cincinnati May Festival. In its third year of a new artistic model, the festival welcomes Julia Bullock as Festival Director. I think you’ll find her programs fascinating.
